DESCRIPTION:
River Rock Lodge is a small western-style lodge in the picturesque Meadow Village, in the heart of Big Sky, Montana, one of America's premier winter and summer destinations. Just a few miles from world-class skiing, blue-ribbon trout fishing and Yellowstone National Park's incomparable marvels, River Rock Lodge is miles from the ordinary.

Surrounded by aspens and blessed with enchanting mountain vistas, this distinctive lodge has been blended seamlessly into the Meadow Village landscape by renowned Montana architect Jerry Locati, whose admiration of Frank Lloyd Wright is reflected in the lodge's classic frontier features. River Rock’s location offers easy access to restaurants, shopping and other amenities while retaining the solitude and quiet guests expect from a mountain hideaway. River Rock Lodge's special touches extend from 29 comfortable rooms and affordable rates to the personable staff whose local knowledge of the Big Sky area ensures complete satisfaction on a dream vacation.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Only the rates are ordinary in River Rock’s 28 standard rooms, which transport guests back to the golden era of the West. The rooms are tastefully appointed with Native American and frontier accents, poignant Old West photos by L.A. Huffman, comfortable beds featuring colorful Native American design wool blankets and specially made mattresses, wood accents, spacious bathrooms and dressing area, fresh terry robes, all enhanced by mesmerizing views of the surrounding mountains.

The queen rooms feature two beds and plenty of space for ski and fly fishing gear or outdoor paraphernalia. The king rooms feature a king-size bed with a nearby sitting area, love seat, comfortable chairs and coffee table. Each room is immaculately maintained by a year-round staff, who take pride in guests’ comfort and satisfaction.

Set apart from the standard rooms and featuring large picture windows overlooking views of the Spanish Peaks and quaking aspens, the Vista Suite has the feel of an exclusive mountain cabin. A lengthy balcony beckons while watching the sun descend behind the mountains. A double-sided gas fireplace casts a warm glow over a roomy sitting area sporting a frontier ambience enhanced by poignant photos of stoic Native Americans. After an invigorating day on the slopes or the river, pour a glass of champagne chilling in the wet bar and let the jets in the large whirlpool tub massage weary muscles. And when it's time to call it a night, slip into the lodge's signature terry robes and crawl under the covers of the sprawling yet cozy king bed.
